Community Engagement Committee
The community engagement committee is chaired by Phylis Doodu who considers building a stronger community together as an essential ingredient.
Hence the committee shall connect with other people and organisations from different areas of county donegal, such as political, business, religious, etc., for mutual benefit as well as get involved in initiatives that have a positive impact on the Ghanaian society in Donegal.
Mission
Our aim is to foster a sense of belonging, unity, and empowerment among our members with particular focus on organising events, workshops, and programs that encourage community participation and collaboration.
By actively engaging with our community, we hope to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
Mandate:
Through our efforts, we aim to encourage all Ghanaians in County Donegal to join Ghana Union and become part of a strong community of like-minded individuals, united to make positive changes in the community.
The committee's mandate includes:
Gain a greater understanding of other cultures through cross-cultural collaborations, exchange programs, and networking initiatives.
Utilize Ghana Union's platform for organizing events, activities, workshops, training sessions, lectures, and conferences that are aimed at promoting knowledge sharing among members.
Strengthen the ties between communities to foster solidarity, trust, and friendship.
Goals & Objectives
Community engagement is a vital aspect of our organisation's mission. We believe in actively involving the Ghanaian community in Donegal in various initiatives and activities to promote a more united & socially responsible Ghana Union community in Donegal. Our goals include:
